Key takeaways

What Qiu is

Qiu is an AI assistant that works for you through its app at https://meetqiu.com, Telegram and email: it reads and drafts emails, manages your calendar, documents and tasks, and reminds you of what's pending. It only accesses what you connect, and you can disconnect it at any time.

What data we process

Use of Google data

Qiu's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:

The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never used to develop, improve or train generalised or non-personalised AI/ML models, is never sold, and is never used for advertising.

Use of Instagram and Meta data

If you connect an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator), Qiu receives the permissions you accept on Instagram's own consent screen. Qiu uses each one only for what you ask, and every action that writes something (sending a message, replying to or hiding a comment, publishing) is shown to you on a card first and happens only after you press Confirm.

What we keep: the access token, sealed and encrypted, until you disconnect, and the conversation you have with Qiu (including what Instagram data appears in it), under the retention periods below. We do not copy your followers, your messages or your comments into any other database, we do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising and we do not use them to train AI models. Instagram data is processed by the house AI (Claude, through Anthropic's API) only to answer you.

How to disconnect and delete: in Profile you can disconnect Instagram at any time, which erases the connection and its access token. You can also remove Qiu in Instagram › Settings › Apps and websites: Meta then notifies us and we erase the connection and the token. If you ask Meta to delete your data, Qiu does it through its data deletion callback and gives you a confirmation code and a page to check it. You can also write to business@quantumventures.io. Callbacks: https://meetqiu.com/oauth/meta/deauthorize and https://meetqiu.com/oauth/meta/deletion.

Help us improve Qiu

Only if you allow it, we see how the app is used: the screens you open, where you tap, how you move around and the errors that appear. We do it with our own tool (OpenReplay) on our server in the European Union, with no third party involved. We do not see your messages or Qiu's replies, nor anything you type in any field, nor passwords, keys, cards, emails or numbers (what is kept is a screen with all the content masked), and the app's requests are kept without their content. It is the same for everyone, in the EU too, and it only starts when you say yes. You can change it at any time in Profile, under Alerts and preferences. What is kept for this is deleted after 30 days.

Where it is stored and how it is protected

On servers in the European Union. The access tokens to your services and the safe are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The assistant does not see the passwords in the safe. Qiu acts on its own on what you ask, without waiting for you to confirm each step, and every action goes into your action log (what it did and how it went, without the content). You can stop it at any time and what can be reversed can be undone from that log. If you ask for just a draft, nothing is sent, and if a message carries health data, it shows it to you first. It also shows you first a payment, anything that moves money in your bank or ad account, a sales email, sharing a chat or project with someone else, and whatever an email or a third-party website asks it to do, and it only goes ahead if you accept. Purchases it makes for you never exceed the spending limits you set.

What each permission is for

Qiu only uses a connection when it needs it for something you ask, or for the alerts you have switched on. You can remove any of them whenever you like:

ConnectionWhat Qiu uses it forHow to remove it
Google: Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides and TasksReading, drafting and sending your emails, managing your calendar and working with your documents and tasks when you ask; alerting you to what matters if your alerts are on.Profile › disconnect Google, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Access stops at once.
Instagram (professional account)Reading your profile, posts, comments and direct messages; replying to messages and comments, publishing photos and reels and reading your statistics, only when you ask and always after you confirm.Profile › disconnect Instagram, or in Instagram › Settings › Apps and websites. Access stops at once.

How long things are kept

Who it is shared with

With the providers needed to run the service: Anthropic (Claude), which processes your messages. Your Google account data (Gmail, Drive, Calendar) is processed by the house AI, Claude through Anthropic's API, and does not go to any other AI provider, unless you connect your own Gemini (Google) and turn on sharing your Google data with it: then it goes to your Gemini, under your own terms with Google. If you connect your own AI (your Claude account, your OpenAI/ChatGPT key, your Google Gemini, or your OpenRouter key), your messages that do not carry Google data go to that account under your own terms with that provider; we recommend keeping model training on your data turned off there. Telegram and WhatsApp (Kapso) are the messaging channels, and GoHighLevel and Resend carry the assistant's email, only the notifications. Voice-note transcription, search in your documents and the bridge to the Google APIs run on our own server in the European Union, with no third parties. Apart from the ones you connect yourself, we use no other AI provider. Also, depending on what you use: OpenStreetMap (Nominatim and its routing service) receives the coordinates and addresses you type, to locate them; Stripe processes plan payments; SerpApi receives hotel, flight and map searches; and the services you connect receive only what you ask the assistant to do with them. We don't share it with anyone else.
